Denise Piha

Denise holds a master’s degree in management for competitiveness from FGV, an MBA in sustainability, also from FGV, and Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). She also has an undergraduate degree in economics from Sao Paulo Catholic University. At the moment, she is a member of the FGV Project Management Office (FGV PMO) team, involved in the management of the Paraopeba River Project. This entails auditing the socioeconomic projects carried out under the Judicial Agreement for Comprehensive Reparation related to the failure of the B-I, B-IV and B-IVA dams at the Córrego do Feijão iron ore mine. She was previously part of the management team for the Doce River Project, which assessed the socioeconomic impacts of the failure of the Fundão tailings dam, and worked as a project technician at FGV’s technical consulting arm, FGV Projetos. She has experience in project management, with an emphasis on schedule management and indicator development.
