FGV PMO

Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Project Management Office (FGV PMO) is responsible for defining and establishing project management processes to ensure better planning and execution of technical assistance and applied research projects. In doing so, it supports FGV’s development by expanding its capacity to manage complex projects. The office assists with the structuring of new FGV projects, optimizes and increases the flexibility of resource use during project execution, provides support to project coordinators and managers, and controls and monitors FGV projects. Services and Activities  

FGV PMO serves as a strategic partner in project management for all FGV’s schools, centers and other bodies. It provides comprehensive support – including methodologies, tools, monitoring, governance, manuals and training – to ensure the success of every FGV initiative. Dissemination of Management Processes for Technical Assistance and Applied Research Projects

Focus on Management of Complex Projects
  • Development of project management processes aimed at improving the planning and execution of technical assistance and applied research projects;

  • Structuring of the PMO governance system and its relationship with FGV’s schools, centers and other bodies;

  • Support for FGV’s development by expanding its capacity to manage complex projects;

  • Support for structuring new projects at FGV, increasing the scale of technical assistance and applied research projects;

  • Optimization and increased flexibility of project execution;

  • Assistance for project coordinators and managers in the execution of their projects;

  • Control and mitigation of risks in ongoing projects;

  • Evaluation of project management performance in organizations;

  • Project monitoring and establishment of management controls;

Project Management Support
  • Provision of support services to FGV’s schools, centers and other bodies in planning, managing and controlling projects, including on-demand services for complex projects that require ongoing monitoring;

  • Choice of procedures to be employed to execute each project, as well as the tools and techniques that will be used throughout its life cycle to manage, control, monitor and finalize its execution;

  • Planning, management and control of the project’s scope by monitoring its deliverables and verifying its acceptance criteria, including quality management;

  • Planning, management and control of the project’s detailed schedule, including key activities and milestones;

  • Planning, management and control of the project’s risks;

  • Planning, management and control of the project’s budget;

  • Selection of indicators to monitor the project’s execution via a management control dashboard, as well as indicators to track its results aligned with its strategic objectives;

  • Support for structuring project governance by organizing the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders involved;

  • Evaluation of the project’s results and stakeholder monitoring, as well as design of communication and reporting flow;

  • Support for knowledge management by defining processes and practices for managing the project’s documents.
