Rafael Rodrigues Viegas

Rafael holds a doctorate in public administration and government from FGV EAESP, where he completed a postdoctoral fellowship, a master’s in politics from Paraná Federal University and an undergraduate degree in law from Paraná State University. He is currently a researcher at the FGV Center for Public Administration and Government Studies (FGV CEAPG) and an associate at the Sao Paulo-based Center for Studies on Contemporary Culture (CEDEC). His research covers subjects such as control and bureaucracy, political and bureaucratic elites, federalism and public policy, politics, the judiciary and the Public Prosecutors’ Office. He is currently doing a second postdoctoral fellowship at Brazil’s National School of Public Administration (ENAP), where he also teaches in the Master’s and Doctoral programs. He is a member of the FGV Project Management Office (FGV PMO) team and also works for FGV’s Center for Applied Research Quality (CQPA).
